    जैसे-जैसे Union Budget 2026 नज़दीक आ रहा है, ये साफ होता जा रहा है कि New Tax Regime अब government की favourite बन चुकी है। Budget 2025 में higher basic exemption, ₹75,000 standard deduction और ₹12 lakh का nil-tax threshold जैसे big reliefs ने middle class को direct फायदा दिया। आज salaried taxpayers ₹12.75 lakh तक practically zero tax दे रहे हैं। ITR data भी यही बताता है—करीब 72% taxpayers ने New Regime choose की है। Simple slabs, कम deductions और predictable savings इसे ज्यादा practical बनाते हैं। ₹7.5 lakh से ₹25 lakh income वालों के लिए savings gap काफी wide हो गया है, जबकि high-income earners को limited benefit मिल रहा है। Budget 2026 में उम्मीद है कि New Tax Regime को और aggressively push किया जाएगा, शायद default option के तौर पर भी। Middle class के लिए ये अब सिर्फ choice नहीं, एक smart decision बनता जा रहा है।
