Breaking: Goa Nightclub Fire Kills 23 Tourists, Sparks Major Investigation

The shocking update from Goa reveals a tragic fire broke out at a nightclub in North Goa. The blaze was so massive that it gave no time for tourists to escape, ultimately resulting in the death of 23 tourists, including 4 foreigners. Nearly 50 visitors were in serious condition and were immediately rushed to nearby hospitals for medical treatment. According to sources, the death toll may increase due to the heavy crowd in the club because of the festive season in November–December. Meanwhile, it is believed that the fire broke out due to the presence of firecrackers used during the weekly firework shows organized for tourists. Some eyewitnesses stated that before the fire, they heard a booming sound which created panic and chaos among the visitors. Locals also mentioned that they heard a blast-like noise, as if a gas cylinder had exploded, after which they noticed the blaze. They immediately informed firefighters to douse the flames. The firefighters reached the spot and made all possible efforts to bring the fire under control. After the incident, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant visited the hospital to take updates on the victims and injured tourists and has also established a special committee for further investigation. He also announced โ‚น2 lakh financial assistance for the bereaved families.
