    The ongoing conflict between the United States and Iran has entered its 12th day, with no immediate signs of the fighting slowing down. In the latest development, the US military has reportedly carried out a major operation in the Strait of Hormuz, a strategically crucial maritime route for global oil shipments. According to reports, American forces destroyed at least 16 Iranian vessels believed to be laying naval mines in the strait. Earlier, US President Donald Trump had warned Iran against planting mines in the Strait of Hormuz, saying such actions would bring severe consequences. The US claims that several Iranian Navy ships, including smaller vessels stationed nearby, were also destroyed during the operation. Meanwhile, Iran has continued its retaliatory strikes. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps released a video showing missile attacks targeting American bases in the Gulf region and several sites in Israel. Iranian military officials said the strikes were part of their ongoing response to US and Israeli actions. At the same time, heavy American bombardment on Iranian military positions is reportedly continuing. US forces are said to have targeted Iranian naval assets, destroying several warships and possibly an Iranian submarine. Videos circulating online appear to show naval vessels being hit and damaged. With attacks intensifying on both sides, the conflict in the Middle East is rapidly escalating, marking the 12th consecutive day of intense military confrontation.
