In Delhi, demonstrators assembled near the Bangladesh High Commission under heavy security arrangements. Protesters stated that a memorandum had been submitted by VHP leadership, warning that protests would continue if violence against Hindus does not stop. Similar demonstrations were reported in Kolkata, where lawyers and members of civil groups also joined the protests, expressing strong condemnation of the killing.
