Apple Said to Consider 3D-Printed Aluminium Enclosures for Upcoming Apple Watch, iPhone Models

Apple is looking into ways to 3D print aluminium enclosures for the future Apple Watch models, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman writes in the latest edition of his Power On newsletter. The Cupertino-based tech giant could also be working on ways to manufacture aluminium enclosures for future iPhone models. This will reportedly help the iPhone-maker to bring greater efficiency to the manufacturing process of the Apple Watch and iPhone models. Gurman added that this decision builds on the tech giant’s move to use 3D printed titanium casings for the latest Apple Watch Ultra 3, which was launched in September 2025.
