Weather Update : Delhi-NCR Chokes Under Severe Pollution, AQI Crosses 450, Dense Fog Disrupts Travel

Air pollution in Delhi-NCR has reached a dangerous level, with restrictions failing to show any significant impact. Several areas across the region have recorded an Air Quality Index (AQI) above 400, indicating severe air pollution. Anand Vihar has emerged as one of the worst-affected locations, where AQI has touched 466. In many parts of Delhi, pollution levels have even crossed the 450 mark, posing serious health risks to residents. Along with toxic air, dense fog has further worsened the situation. A thick white blanket of fog has engulfed the entire Delhi-NCR region, drastically reducing visibility in several areas to near zero. This has led to major disruptions in air and rail services, with delays and cancellations reported. Road travel has also become hazardous, forcing drivers to use headlights even during early morning daylight hours. Visuals from prominent locations such as India Gate and AIIMS clearly reflect the grim situation, highlighting how pollution and fog have blurred visibility across the city. People are experiencing breathing difficulties, eye irritation, and worsening of cold and cough symptoms. The persistent fog shows no signs of clearing, adding to travel-related problems. Overall, the severe pollution and dense fog have significantly affected daily life, public health, and transportation across Delhi-NCR.
