Maharashtra Mourns: Maharashtra Deputy CM Ajit Pawar Honoured with State Funeral in Baramati Amid Massive Mourning

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar was given a heartfelt state funeral in his native village of Katiwadi, Baramati, following his tragic death in a plane crash. Supporters, family members, and political leaders gathered early in the morning to pay their final respects, creating an atmosphere of deep grief and solemnity. The funeral grounds were decorated with flowers, and thousands of citizens joined the procession, reflecting Pawar’s profound influence in Baramati and across Maharashtra. Senior NCP leader Sharad Pawar, along with other family members, were present and visibly emotional, while supporters chanted slogans celebrating his legacy. Known as “Ajit Dada,” he served six terms as Deputy Chief Minister and dedicated decades to public service, especially in education and local development. His passing leaves a significant political vacuum in Maharashtra and the NCP. Pawar’s son, Parth Pawar, is expected to take a more active role in politics following his father’s demise. Citizens and party workers remembered his dedication, humility, and visionary leadership, while thousands continued to offer tributes, ensuring that his legacy and service to the state are honoured for generations.
