Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached the Parliament for the commencement of the budget session, emphasizing high public expectations from the upcoming budget. He reflected on the President’s recent address, calling it a representation of the aspirations and efforts of 140 crore Indians, particularly the youth. Modi highlighted that this budget session marks the start of the second quarter of the 21st century, a crucial 25-year period toward achieving India’s 2047 developed nation goal. He praised Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, who will present the budget for the ninth consecutive time, making history as the first Indian woman to do so repeatedly. Modi underscored the recent India–European Union Free Trade Agreement as a transformative opportunity for Indian manufacturers, farmers, service sectors, and youth, urging them to focus on quality and global competitiveness. The Prime Minister reiterated the government’s philosophy of “Reform, Perform, Transform” and highlighted the importance of long-term, human-centric, and technology-enabled solutions. He stressed predictability, confidence, and productivity in governance, with an emphasis on last-mile delivery of government schemes. Modi called upon all parliamentarians to contribute to decisive and solution-oriented policymaking to accelerate India’s progress. He concluded with a vision of India as a confident, globally competitive, and aspirational nation, urging the country to embrace innovation, inclusivity, and action.
