Kishtwar News: Joint Forces Kill 3 Militants in Kishtwar Forests, JeM Commander Saifullah Possibly Included

Security forces have launched a large-scale joint operation in the forests of Chhatru, Nayadgam, and Wanipura in Kishtwar following actionable intelligence about a militant hideout. The operation involves the Indian Army, CRPF, and Jammu & Kashmir Police working together to neutralize suspected terrorist elements in the region. Authorities claim that three militants have been killed in the operation. Among them, officials suggest the possible involvement of Saifullah, a commander reportedly affiliated with the Jaish-e-Mohammed. However, official confirmation regarding his identity and organizational links is still pending. The joint teams had cordoned off the targeted area after receiving intelligence that the militants had set up a hideout in a forested enclave. The search and clearance operation involved systematic combing of the dense forest, aimed at preventing militant escape and ensuring civilian safety in nearby villages. Security officials continue to monitor the area and assess recovered material and intelligence to determine further action. The operation underscores ongoing counterterror efforts in sensitive districts of Jammu & Kashmir.
