    ‘UGC rules anti-Brahmin’: Former Bareilly city magistrate hints at political plunge

    Bareilly city magistrate Alankar Agnihotri resigned protesting UGC's new anti-discrimination regulations, calling them "anti-Brahmin." He cited a "deeper leadership crisis within the community" and the "insult to Shankaracharya" as triggers. Agnihotri, who cleared PCS in 2019, believes the regulations will harm general-category students and divide society.
