    Samsung Reportedly Plans to Expand India Manufacturing With Focus on Phone Displays, May Source Chips From India

    Samsung is reportedly planning to expand smartphone display manufacturing in India after applying for incentives under the government’s PLI scheme. The company is expected to move beyond device assembly and increase local value addition at its Noida facility, its largest smartphone manufacturing plant globally. Samsung reportedly does not plan to shift production from Vietnam but may add new capacity in India as demand grows. The company is also said to be open to sourcing chips locally and sees India as a key export and growth hub.
