    Budget Vision 2026: ₹43,565 Crore for New Schemes, ₹2 Lakh Crore for Infra Push

    The Uttar Pradesh Budget has been presented, and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath addressed a press conference outlining its key highlights. He described the budget as dedicated to “safe women, empowered youth, prosperous farmers, and employment for every hand,” emphasizing technological investment for a stronger and more prosperous Uttar Pradesh. Over ₹43,565 crore has been allocated for new schemes, while more than ₹2 lakh crore has been earmarked for capital expenditure, focusing on infrastructure development and asset creation to boost economic growth and employment generation. This marks the 10th budget of the current government — the first time a Chief Minister in Uttar Pradesh has presented ten consecutive budgets. The CM also highlighted that no new taxes have been imposed in the past nine years. The state has improved its financial discipline, reducing its debt-to-GSDP ratio from over 30% in 2017 to around 27%, with a target of bringing it down to 23%. Uttar Pradesh is now among India’s top three economies, with unemployment reduced to 2.24%. Key announcements include a State Data Authority for real-time monitoring, AI and data center clusters, an AI mission for MedTech and DeepTech, women-focused C-Marts, new economic zones, and reforms under the “Jan Vishwas” principle to further improve ease of doing business
