    5 Things to Know About Sony’s New Joint Venture With TCL, Including Terms of Deals, Future Plans

    Sony and TCL have signed a new memorandum of understanding (MoU) to underline their future strategic partnership and joint venture for Sony’s home entertainment business. Under the terms of the deal, the Chinese tech firm, TCL, will assume a controlling stake of 51 percent in the new joint venture, while Sony will retain 49 percent of the company. The venture will sell products with the Sony and Bravia brandings. The Bravia TVs will continue using Sony’s picture technology, and Sony home theatres will be powered by Sony’s audio technology.
